International Welding
Inspector
Independent and objective verification of your welds. Our IWI-certified inspectors (IWI-B/S/C) assess joints against the applicable standards, coordinate NDT, and deliver clear reports that fit seamlessly into your QA/QC and ISO 3834 system.
What we inspect
- Visual & dimensional checks (VT)
Weld prep and fit-up, root & cap, bead profile, undercut, reinforcement, alignment, and overall workmanship - Compliance & acceptance
Verification against acceptance criteria (e.g., ISO 5817 / ISO 10042) and WPS compliance on parameters, positions, backing/purging, interpass - Materials & consumables
Material ID/heat numbers, certificates (EN 10204), filler metals, shielding gases, and handling/storage - Surface condition & post-weld
Cleanliness, discoloration on stainless, grinding/finishing, pickling & passivation where required
NDT coordination
- Method & extent
PT, MT, UT, RT selection and test scope based on risk, thickness, and access - Sequencing & witnessing
Preparation of surfaces, timing versus production steps, witnessing critical holds - Evaluation & reporting
Interpretation of indications against the specified class; clear documentation and release recommendations
Documentation & traceability
- Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), weld maps, punch lists
- Photo reports and dimensional records
- Complete dossier: WPS/WPQR references, certificates, NDT reports, and final release
Standards & guidelines
- ISO 17637 (visual testing) and ISO 17635 (general rules for NDT of welds)
- ISO 5817 / ISO 10042 (acceptance criteria)
- ISO 3834 (quality requirements for fusion welding)
Outcomes
- Demonstrable quality
Objective evidence that welds meet the specified class - Fewer surprises
Earlier detection of deviations and targeted corrective actions - Clean handover
Complete, audit-ready documentation
When to involve us
- Before start-up
Define ITP and acceptance class per joint type - During production
Fit-up checks, in-process VT, NDT coordination - Pre-delivery
Final VT/dimensional, dossier check, and release
Industries & applications
